Services
Stormwater Sampling & Visual Examinations
Stormwater sampling and inspections are performed to meet Tennessee MSGP requirements, including annual rain-event sampling after a minimum 72-hour dry period and quarterly site inspections, with one inspection conducted during a qualifying rain event that includes sampling at designated outfalls.
- Stormwater sampling and routine visual examinations performed in accordance with applicable permits
- Custom plastic passive samplers fabricated in-house and tailored to each outfall
- Manual grab samples collected during routine walk-around site inspections
- Mobile application used to document visual examinations and capture photographs (consistent workflow across sites)
- Inspection and sampling reports delivered in Microsoft Word format
Analytical Monitoring & Reporting
- Analytical monitoring services including sample collection, chain-of-custody preparation, submitting samples to an environmental laboratory, acquiring a laboratory report, reporting results to the client, and reporting results in NetDMR (as applicable)
- Teledyne-ISCO sampling and flowmeter equipment used to collect grab and 24-hour composite samples required by industrial pretreatment programs
- May recommend passive water quality improvement measures where appropriate
Site Inspections
SWPPP-Related Inspections
- Walk-around inspections documented with a site-specific mobile inspection application, including photos and areas of concern
- Reports delivered in Microsoft Word format
SPCC Plan Inspections
- Monthly or quarterly SPCC inspections of tanks, drum storage areas, and spill response materials are performed and documented to maintain compliance with SPCC requirements
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)
- Preparation of new SWPPPs and updates to existing SWPPPs
Site Location & Drainage Mapping
- Site location map typically printed on 8.5"×11"
- Site drainage map typically printed on 24"×36"
- Maps depict water quality improvement areas, drainage patterns, discharge points, exposed outside materials, fueling areas, and other site features relevant to stormwater compliance
CAD Support for Environmental Projects
EcoSampler also provides CAD support for environmental projects, including site drainage maps for Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans.
- CAD platform: Carlson IntelliCAD 2023 (DWG-compatible with AutoCAD workflows)
- Typical deliverables: site drainage maps, site location maps, and compliance-oriented facility diagrams (as needed)
Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans
- Preparation of new SPCC Plans or updates to existing SPCC Plans
- Plans written in the order recommended by SPCC rules
- Oil and hazardous substances storage inventory table (tanks and drum storage areas), including: primary container type/size, container material, liquid level sensor, contents/capacity (gal), containment/diversion structure, and direction of release flow and receiving environment
- Assessment of secondary containment freeboard for precipitation where applicable, or identification of integral/double-walled containment
- SPCC Plans include a table of required inspections identifying inspection type, frequency, and responsible personnel; an outside agency emergency contact list (local, state, and federal); and a table of oil and hazardous materials spill-response organizations to support emergency preparedness and coordinated response.
Example of a site-specific oil storage inventory table prepared as part of an SPCC Plan.
| Container | Material | Liquid Level Sensor | Contents / Capacity (gal) | Containment / Diversion | Direction of Release Flow / Receiving Environment |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| AST | Carbon steel | Measuring stick; cellular modem | Diesel fuel / 4,000 | Double-walled tank | West → Pond |
| AST | Carbon steel | Float & cellular communication | Liquid asphalt / 20,000 | Double-walled tank | West → Pond |
| AST | Carbon steel | Same as above | Liquid asphalt / 30,000 | Double-walled tank | West → Pond |
| Drums | Carbon steel | None / N.A. | 3 × 55-gal drums (heat-transfer oil) | Pond | West → Pond |
Note: AST = Aboveground Storage Tank.
